*An important part of serving in student ministries is that you understand and commit to our doctrinal beliefs here at Jamul Community Church. Please read and sign below that you agree with the points below.

· We believe the Bible in its original languages is the plenary, verbal, inspired Word of God and is both authoritative and infallible.

· We believe that the Godhead eternally exists in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and that these three persons are one God.

· We believe in the Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ: His virgin birth, His substitutionary atonement, His physical resurrection, His bodily ascension to the Father, His personal return for the church

· We believe in the person of the Holy Spirit; and in His work of conviction of sin and regenerating; His indwelling the believer to give victory over sin and to give power in service.

· We believe in the universality and exceeding sinfulness of sin.

· We believe in the New Birth by the Spirit of God, whereby we are made the Children and Heirs of God.

· We believe in the eternal salvation of the regenerate and in the eternal condemnation of the unregenerate.

· We believe in the personality and reality of Satan.

· We believe the Bible teaches a separated life for the Christian.

· We believe that God offers redemption and restoration to all who confess and forsake their sin, seeking His mercy and forgiveness through Jesus Christ.

· We believe that every person must be afforded compassion, love, kindness, respect, and dignity. Behavior or attitudes not in accord with scripture nor the doctrines of the church directed toward any individual are to be repudiated.

· We believe that God intends sexual intimacy to only occur between a man and a woman who are married to each other. We believe that God has commanded that no intimate sexual activity be engaged outside of marriage:

o We believe that the term “marriage” has only one meaning and that is marriage sanctioned by God which joins one man and one woman in a single, exclusive union, as delineated in Scripture.

o We believe that any form of sexual immorality, including, but not limited to, adultery, fornication, homosexuality, bisexual conduct, bestiality, incest, pornography or any attempt to changes one’s sex or disagreement with one’s biological sex, is sinful and offensive to God.

o We believe that in order to preserve the function and integrity of the church as the local Body of Christ, and to provide a biblical role model to the church members and the community, it is imperative that all persons employed by the church in any capacity, or who serve as volunteers, abide by and agree to this Statement on Marriage and Sexuality and conduct themselves accordingly.

Statement of Release

I also grant permission for any representative of Jamul Community Church to share any information they believe may impact a decision for the volunteer position I am applying for.

I hereby authorize any individuals to disclose any and all information to Jamul Community Church. I release all such persons or entities from liability that may result or arise from Jamul Community Church’s collection of all information or its consideration of my application.
